Chasing Blue Bluegrass Band at the Blue Moon Coffeehouse, Saturday, March 9th at 7:30

On Saturday, March 9th, the Blue Moon Coffeehouse in Rockland features the exciting, young bluegrass band, Chasing Blue.   Just back from a tour of the United States, Chasing Blue plays original and traditional bluegrass, with unique arrangements and hard driving style.  They play at some of the best known bluegrass festivals, including Joe Val, Grey Fox, Podunk, Ossipee Valley, Saddleback Mountain, North Branch, and Laurie Blue (Canada).   Other notable places they have played include Passim, FOX news Austin, KUT Folkways Radio, Berklee’s International Folk Festival, The Music Barn (Canada) and a Sponsored Showcase at the International Bluegrass Music Awards.   Between sets by Chasing Blue, there will be an open mic.  Tickets are $7 at the door, children 12 and under are free.   The show starts at 7:30 p.m.   The address is Channing Unitarian Universalist Church , 45 Webster St. Rockland, located right beside the post office.  For more information, visit www.thebluemooncoffeehouse.com.  You can listen to Chasing Blue at their website: www.chasingblueband.com or listen to the official music video of their song “Two Broken Wings” on You Tube.    [youtube]http://youtu.be/fnGDjWsFxh8[/youtube]
