Eva Braun Halloween Party at Gametime

Music & Entertainment

Halloween is a time of the year when we can relive our childhood, dress up and have a little fun. What better setting to do that than at a local bar having a few cold ones with friends and enjoying a great band. That’s where I found myself this past Saturday night when I was at Gametime to check out Eva Braun. Gametime was packed with costumes such as Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, a mermaid, a cowgirl, a Roman gladiator, Captain Jack Sparrow, an Indian girl, a few zombies, a few 60′s hippies, a few pirates and a witch. Even yours truly got in on the act dressing up like an old-time news paparazzi.

Halloween is one of the bands favorite shows and they brought it that night big-time.Right from the opening song “La Grange” by ZZ Top to the last song “Rock and Roll All Night” by Kiss, they were firing on all cylinders. For me the highlights were from the second set where they did their trademark fan favorite “Dreams I’m Never Gonna See” by Molly Hatchet, followed by a killer rendition of “Stranglehold” by Ted Nugent and finishing the set with “Heartbreaker” by Led Zeppelin. All three of these songs featured awesome solos by Graham Branlund.

Eva Braun is having a second Halloween show this Friday night at SlapShotz on Route 28 in Avon. After a few days of cleaning up after this little storm we’re having, what better way to wind down and have some fun. Eva Braun is Graham Branlund on guitar, Mike Ciavattieri on bass and Chico Walker on drums.
