Full Circle Rockin’ Downtown Plymouth, by John Donovan

September 26, 2011

Music & Entertainment

This past Saturday night, my girlfriend and I headed down to Plymouth to Leon’s Place on 47 Court Street; just a block from Memorial Hall. When we walked in an hour or so before the gig was to start, it didn’t seem like much. It’s a small place and we weren’t sure where the band was even going to set up. As we¬†were finishing¬†our dinner of some very tasty steak tips, the staff began to move some tables and clear room for the band to move their gear in and things started to take shape. It wasn’t too crowded by time they started playing around 9:15, but soon after they started, people started showing up in droves and before you knew it, it was a full-fledged party with Full Circle keeping up the energy all night with their unique mix of classic rock and country-rock. Some of the rock songs they did were “Gimmie Three Steps”, “Simple Man”, “Musta Got Lost” and “Take the Money and Run”. Some of the country-rock songs were “Honey Bee”, “Get Drunk and Be Somebody” and “She’s Country”. The place stayed packed all night and it was just a high-energy, fun gig to be at and be a part of as Big Bad Bob even put yours truly on the mic for parts of a few songs. The guy has that knack to make you have fun and do stuff you normally wouldn’t do.

The bands’ line-up is Bob Peddel on vocals and the occasion guitar that seemingly is never plugged in, Johnny “One Note” Cesarini on guitar and vocals, Billy Mahoney on guitar and vocals, Matt Spencer on bass and Steve Canney on drums. Their next gig is this Saturday night at Bert’s Landing in Plymouth. For more information, please visit their Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/fullcircle4.
