A full dance floor with Hot Mess in the house

I wasn’t really sure what I was gonna be up to this past Friday until it was suggested that I go to Player’s to see a band called  ”Hot Mess” I hadn’t heard of them before so I did a little web searching and found out that they had some former and current members of “Dick and Jane”. Now I have seen that band a few times, so I had a pretty good idea what I was in for. Hot Mess is a high-energy fun band.

Their music ranges from classic rock to top 40′s to hip-hop and everything in between. This night we didn’t have the full compliment of the band but you’d never know it as they seemed to be very tight. The line up this night was Jason Silverman on vocals, Tracey Delaney on vocals filling in for Danielle Mozeleski, Jozi Nadj filling in for John Polino on guitar, Rob Murphy on bass guitar, Niksa Kastrapeli on keyboard and rhythm guitar and Bryan Bales filling in for Scott Johnson on drums.

The key to their success as a band is the diversity in their set list. A quick trip to their website and a look at the set list shows just how diverse it is. Their  motto is “Your girlfriend’s favorite cover band” and there’s no denying that claim as not only do they have that set list, but they pull it off with an infectious energy that makes you want them to just keep playing all night long. Their next show is December 10th at The Grand Canal in Boston. Their next show south of Boston is December 30th at the Charlie Horse in West Bridgewater. Besides their website above, you can visit and “like” them at Facebook at
