Phase Four at Stix and Stones

Music & Entertainment

Stix and Stones on Rt 123 in Abington ( across from Walmart ) is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to see a band. It’s a good sized room, the food is very good and the management and wait staff are friendly. Many bands are making their way there for the first time in recent months and this past Saturday night it was Phase Four’s turn. I’ve been following this band since May of 2010 and I feel that these guys are as talented a band as there is on the South Shore. Their set list includes many songs that other bands in the area don’t do and that sets them apart. Some of these songs are “Satisfaction Guaranteed” by The Firm, “Steady as She Goes” by The Raconteurs, “Shakin’ the Blues” by The Screamin’ Cheetah Wheelies and “Use Somebody” by Kings of Leon.

Phase Four rockin' it out at Stix and Stones

Phase Four has quietly been gaining a well-deserved following. The band consists of Paul Diggin on vocals, Thom Knight on guitar, Tony Rossi on bass and Mike Fopiano on drums. In addition to Phase Four, Paul and Thom do an acoustic duo called Bloodshot and Blue. The next time Bloodshot and Blue perform will be this Friday the 18th at The Tinker’s Son in Norwell. The next Phase Four show is December 3rd at Venus III in Hanson. These guys are definitely worth checking out if you haven’t had a chance to do so yet.
