On Saturday, February 11th the Blue Moon Coffeehouse brings together Paul Rishell and Annie Raines with Kathleen Parks (of Twisted Pine) and Brad Bensko playing both as separate duos and as the new band Mojo Rodeo. These two duos re-imagine blues, bluegrass, honky-tonk country, classic oldies and choice originals.

Paul Rishell and Annie Raines have been hailed as one of the world’s best blues duos. They have recorded 6 albums together and received numerous award nominations from the Blues Foundation. They have performed and recorded with John Sebastian, Susan Tedeschi, Pinetop Perkins and Rory Block. They have opened for Ray Charles, Dr. John, and Little Feat, and performed on international radio and TV shows including Late Night with Conan O’Brien and A Prairie Home Companion.

Fiddle and mandolin wizard Kathleen Parks is a member of the band Twisted Pine She has shared the stage with artists such as The Punch Brothers, Alison Brown, Peter Rowan, The Duhks, Dailey and Vincent, Flatt Lonesome, Hot Rize, Frank Sullivan and Dirty Kitchen. She has also been hosted on Brian O’Donovan’s “A Celtic Sojourn” and has “main staged” festivals such as Fresh Grass, Grey Fox, Thomas Point Bluegrass Special, and Celtic Connections. Strongly influenced by Paul McCartney, James Jamerson and Harry Nillson, Brad Bensko sings in a high tenor voice and plays bass, acoustic guitar, organ, drums and writes his own songs.

The show starts at 7:30. Doors open at 7:00. The address is 45 Webster Street, Rockland, MA. Tickets are $10 at the door.Between sets by the band, there will be an open mike.
