Sat. Jan. 10th: Local Freight Delivers Fine Bluegrass at The Blue Moon Coffeehouse, Rockland

On Saturday, January 10th at 7:30 p.m., the Blue Moon Coffeehouse in Rockland, MA features Local Freight.  Local Freight’s slogan is “Bluegrass that delivers,” and they make good on their promise by delivering clean harmonies, strong instrumentation, and a solid groove.  While the band itself is fairly new to the bluegrass scene, it features four talented veteran bluegrass players: John Tibert on mandolin and vocals, Rich Piccaretto on guitar and vocals, Pete Fein on banjo and vocals, and Lynne Fountain on bass and vocals.  They are regular features at The Bluegrass Throedown at Nick-a-Nees in Rhode Island and will be on the main stage at the Bluegrass on the Bogs festival in Hanson this spring.  You can check out the band at   They also have a Facebook page.  In between sets by the band, there will be an open mike.  Tickets are $8 at the door; children 12 and under are free.  The address is Channing Church, 45 Webster St. Rockland, MA.   For more information visit
