ROCKLAND POST 147 = 5
KINGSTON POST 387  = 4
Rockland Post 147 defeated Kingston Post 387 in a back and forth
contest in Rockland Veterans Memorial Stadium. Kingston took an 
early lead off Rockland starter Sean Roche, slapping four hits and netting two runs. Post 147 responded in the bottom of the first inning with three hits and two runs. Rockland got the go ahead run in the second inning and Kingston tied it in the third inning. Kingston took the lead in the fourth inning and Rockland tied it in the fifth. Post 147 took the final lead in the bottom of the sixth and Roche closed out the game. Sean Roche pitched a complete game with seven(7) strike outs, allowing only 5 hits and two earned runs. Roche also went 3 for 3 at the plate to help his cause.
Matt Nicholson went 2 for 3 at the plate and Chris Donovan had the
big double in the sixth inning. Donovan stole third and was driven home with the game winning run by JT Turner on a sacrifice fly deep to center field. Cejay Suarez filled in at the plate for Rockland and did a great job. Post 147 catcher Andrew Elliott was injured on a play at the plate, but did record the out on a great throw from center field by Matt Nicholson.
