Rockland Christmas Stroll

Rockland Center

November 29 2015

4 PM to 7 pm

A thousand loose ends are coming together  for Pam and the Rockland Friends for the 2014 Rockland Christmas Stroll in Rockland Center. From Bob Biggins and his North Pole Mansion, to the Holiday Martinis at the Some Place sports Bar, Rocklandites are ready to Revel.

All the pieces are in place for the stroll launch site at Rockland Fire Station. RFD will have the apparatus in high polish and the fire house open to the public;  Bella’s Restaurant will be back again dishing out a great Italian specialty.  The Rocklandnews Chowder booth will be in full swing with an  all-star staff, including pro women’s basketball star Kerry Flynn; Krista White; World Champion Pitmaster Bill Minahan and his “Q and a half men” BBQ team; Town Administrator Allan “Ooga” Chiocca; “Delightful” Debbie O’Brien; Town Collector, the spirited Judy Hartigan and other special guests. “Stunning” Steve Murphy will be back with his Atlantic Coffee station that has become a Stroll favorite.  Larry “the Lion” Ryan will keep the revelers warm,  manning the Rocklandnews.com fire pit and burning up nearly a half a cord of firewood donated by South Shore Loam on VFW Drive.  The propane to heat the 60 gallons of chowder is donated by Hoadley Plumbing.  The live entertainment will be provided by the world famous Jo Henley Band. We are thrilled to have Jo Henley back in Rockland. They have released two new hit CD’s since they last played at the Banner back in December. Jo Henley has agree to hang out in Rockland and play at the official “After Stroll Party” at Some Place Sports Bar. Some Place has big plans for this year’s stroll  with the live music and Holiday specialties.

That is just the tip of the iceberg.  Stay tuned for the full line up.  It’s the most wonderful night of the year in Rockland. Who knew a soup line could be so much fun?
