Stroll Week Continues, State Rep Elect Decoste Makes Chowder Pledge.

Rockland’s newly elected1604674_291064824412702_1202523537937113985_n State Representative David Decoste has pledged 300.00 to help the Rockland Lion’s Club provide free clam chowder to every man woman and child in strolling distance on Saturday. Decoste made the pledge today after the final counts were made in the recount election.  Decoste said he was thrilled to be a part of the great white soup tradition in Rockland. Decostes joins a long list of dignitaries who have sponsored the chowder in the past. Bill Minahan, Mike Morrissey Bob Nyman and most recently the Rockland Lions club to name a few.

Decoste will join a star studded line up to help  serve more than 1100 cups. Special rn15K Flynn Krista White, Bill Minahan, Debbie Obrien Town collector Judy Hartigan Alan Ooga Chiocca and many more surprise guests. There is a rumor that the boys from Jo Henley will also help.

The mediocre at best chowder will be paired with Stephen Murphy’s Atlantic Coffee and Lenny Barnes Italian specialty from Bella’s. All served hot and fresh in front of the fire station.
