Nanuet, NY – New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli visited Rockland County on Monday morning to enthusiastically endorse Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick (D-Nyack) for re-election. The Comptroller’s announcement coincided with the release of a bipartisan list of over a dozen Rockland County mayors, supervisors, and other local elected officials who have also endorsed Reichlin-Melnick.
“Senator Reichlin-Melnick has demonstrated real commitment to fighting for fiscal oversight in Albany,” said Comptroller DiNapoli. “He has worked with my office to pass legislation which will make government more transparent and accountable, and I need legislators like him in Albany to make sure our tax dollars are being spent prudently. I enthusiastically endorse Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick for re-election to the State Senate.”
“I am incredibly honored to receive this support from our Comptroller, Tom DiNapoli, who has been a light in the darkness of old-school Albany politics,” said Reichlin-Melnick. “As Chair of the Procurement and Contracts committee, I have been proud to work with Comptroller DiNapoli in Albany to pass bipartisan legislation providing his office with enhanced oversight over taxpayer dollars and state contracts.”
