Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announced today the sentencing of Holger Chuya-Andrade, 33 of Spring Valley, New York to 20 years to life on one count and 20 years on count two, to run concurrently. On September 16, 2022, Chuya-Andrade was convicted after a Rockland County jury trial on one count of Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child (Class A-II Felony) and one count of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree (Class B Felony).
Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh said, “There is nothing more precious than the lives and safety of our children. The Rockland County District Attorney’s Office will undertake all efforts to protect Rockland’s most vulnerable.
This conviction and sentence is one step to ensuring our children can safely enjoy their childhood. We will stand with this victim and help in any way possible to help them overcome this trauma from this predator.”
From May 1, 2011 through May 1, 2014, Chuya-Andrade engaged in a course of sexual abuse which started when the victim was 7 years old and lasted until she was 10 years old. Chuya-Andrade is the biological uncle of the victim.

On November 21, 2022, Chuya-Andrade was sentenced by the Honorable Kevin Russo. If Chuya-Andrade is ever released from prison, he will be required to register as a Sex Offender. The investigation was conducted by the Spring Valley Police Department with assistance from the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Special Victims Unit.
The case was prosecuted by Supervising Assistant District Attorney Gerard M. Damiani III and Assistant District Attorney Morgan Czarnik.
