West Nyack, NY – The long-awaited West Nyack Revitalization Phase II project is scheduled to begin around February 17, bringing significant infrastructure improvements to the area. The project will focus on replacing culverts along West Nyack Road, a task that will require two limited road closures and detours.
The first closure will affect the eastern side of the park. Despite the temporary roadblocks, access to local businesses, residences, and park facilities will remain fully open throughout the construction period.
Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann acknowledged that the detours might cause some inconvenience but emphasized that contractors have been instructed to minimize the closure period. “We understand that detours can disrupt daily routines, but these improvements are necessary to enhance the area’s infrastructure and prevent future issues,” Hoehmann said.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed about the project’s progress by following the Town of Clarkstown’s social media pages and subscribing to town newsletters. Updates will provide timely information on road closures, detours, and project milestones.
