Nyack, NY — Get ready for an unforgettable afternoon of style and wagging tails as Hope Wade Designs presents “Dogs and Fashion on Broadway”, a unique runway event set for Saturday, April 26, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on North Broadway, between Lydecker Street and High Avenue.
The block will be closed off for this community celebration, blending fashion, furry friends, and local business in an event produced by award-winning designer Hope Wade, who owns a boutique at 23 N Broadway in Nyack.
“This is going to be such a wonderful event because it seems like every other person in Nyack has a dog,” said Wade. “The mayor has asked how could we get more business to come to Nyack and I thought this would be an amazing collaboration. So far people are enthusiastic.”
The runway show will feature 14 dogs, 12 local businesses, and a mix of fashion, entertainment, and vendor displays. Wade’s own couture line will be among the highlights, with performances by The Raze DJ, MC Qui Talks, and puppeteer Bonnie Halfond adding to the festivities.
In a special touch, five dogs will be available for adoption, adding a meaningful purpose to the glitz and glamour.
The event is free and open to the public, sponsored by the Village of Nyack using funds from its hotel tax to support local economic development.
