Congers, NY — The national Carry the Load relay will make a powerful stop in Rockland County with a rally in Congers on Monday, April 28, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Congers Train Station Park.
Part of a 3,000-mile, 29-day walk that carries the American flag from West Point to Dallas, Texas, this moving tribute honors the sacrifices of military service members and reminds communities of the true meaning of Memorial Day.
A flag passing ceremony will take place during the Congers rally, inviting residents to take part in this solemn and inspiring moment. Those wishing to walk into the park with the American flag are asked to gather by 6:15 p.m. at Old Haverstraw Road and Patricia Avenue.
