NEW CITY, NY – Daniel Dworkin, 45, of Valley Cottage, a former Rockland County Corrections Officer, pleaded guilty to 64 counts of Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child and 64 counts of Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, before the Honorable Djinsad Desir.
Dworkin uploaded a variety of pictures and videos on his Google Drive account between February 21, 2024, and June 19, 2024, the defendant uploaded numerous images and videos on his Google Drive account which depicted sexual performances by children less than 17 years of age, according to Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II.
The Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Special Victims Unit along with the Clarkstown Police Department conducted the investigation.
“The defendant pleaded guilty to all counts and accepted the judge’s offer of one to three years in state prison,” said Walsh. “This sentence was not agreed to by The People and we believe it falls short of holding a predator fully accountable.”
Dworkin is scheduled for sentencing on Jan. 20, 2026; he will be required to register as a sex offender after he is released from prison.
Supervising Assistant District Attorney Gerard M. Damiani III of the Special Victims Unit is prosecuting the case.
