NEW CITY, NY — The former Ocean State Job Lot building at 182 N. Main Street in New City is set to become a year-round indoor pickleball destination, with the New York Pickleball Club (NYPC) announcing plans to transform the 28,000-square-foot space into a multi-court facility scheduled to open in March 2026.
The new complex will include nine full-size, cushioned courts with 22-foot ceilings, professional-grade vinyl fencing, and lounge areas for both players and spectators. Plans also call for a pro shop, gift shop, and private event rooms designed for parties, programs, and community activities.
NYPC will offer programming for all ages and skill levels, including open play sessions, leagues, tournaments, lessons, clinics, and training opportunities for both recreational and competitive players.
Co-owners David and Laura Rose said the goal is to create a “vibrant and welcoming community hub” centered on year-round play, social connection, and skill development.
Membership details and pre-opening events will be announced in the coming months. The club’s mission emphasizes “Fun, Fitness, and Friendship — On and Off the Court.”
