New City, NY — The Town of Clarkstown has opened wedding ceremony bookings for 2026, according to an announcement from Town Supervisor George Hoehmann and Town Clerk Lauren Marie Wohl.
The town’s wedding program, administered through the Town Clerk’s Office, allows couples to be married at Town Hall or at select outdoor locations, weather permitting. Since assuming office, Wohl has officiated more than 350 wedding ceremonies. Town officials say the program has generated more than $35,000 in additional revenue for Clarkstown while offering a low-cost option for couples seeking a civil ceremony.
The Clerk’s Office reports that it is currently accepting reservations through the end of 2026. Officials note that demand is typically higher around popular dates, including Valentine’s week and other holidays.
Hoehmann said the Town Board supports the continuation and expansion of the wedding program, describing it as both a public service and a source of municipal revenue. He added that Clarkstown aims to provide a wider range of wedding ceremony options than other local governments in the region.
Wohl said the program is designed to be accessible to both residents and non-residents and that her office works to accommodate couples’ scheduling needs and preferences whenever possible.
Councilman Jon Valentino, the Town Board liaison to the Town Clerk’s Office, credited the increase in ceremonies to what he described as an expanded and more accessible approach to municipal wedding services.
