SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. — The Village of Spring Valley is inviting residents and community members to gather for a Memorial Day ceremony honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.
The ceremony is scheduled for May 25 at 1 p.m. at Village Hall, located at 200 N. Main St. in Spring Valley.
Village officials said the event will include remarks from local leaders, tributes to fallen service members and participation from local honor guards as the community pauses to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in military service.
Organizers are encouraging residents, families and veterans to attend the public ceremony as part of the village’s annual observance of Memorial Day.
Officials said the gathering is intended to provide an opportunity for reflection, gratitude and remembrance while bringing the community together in recognition of those who lost their lives serving the country.
