Monsey, N.Y. — A 7-year-old girl was killed after being struck by a school bus in the Town of Ramapo on Wednesday morning, prompting an ongoing investigation by local authorities into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
According to the Ramapo Police Department, officers responded shortly after 9 a.m. on July 8 to the area of Blauvelt Road near Manor Drive in Monsey following reports of a pedestrian struck by a school bus. Police said the bus involved was a full-size yellow school bus operated for Yeshiva Viznitz. It was being driven by a 28-year-old Monsey resident at the time of the incident.
