Spring Valley, NY – A pedestrian was injured Monday afternoon, October 26, 2026, after being struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection of South Main Street and East Funston Avenue in the Village of Spring Valley.

Emergency personnel from Hatzoloh EMS and Spring Hill EMS responded to the scene, along with officers from the Spring Valley Police Department, following reports of the collision.

Initial information from the scene indicated that the pedestrian sustained minor injuries. However, the person’s identity, age and specific injuries have not been publicly confirmed.

Photographs taken at the location show police vehicles, emergency medical personnel and an ambulance responding to the incident. The images also show emergency responders attending to an individual near the roadway and preparing medical equipment.

The circumstances leading to the collision have not been established in the available public reports.

Authorities have not released information identifying the driver, the vehicle involved or the direction either party was traveling immediately before the accident.

It is also unclear whether the pedestrian was crossing the street when the collision occurred or was elsewhere in the intersection.

No official determination regarding fault has been made public.

The presence of multiple emergency medical organizations and police officers indicates that personnel from several agencies were involved in responding to the incident. Their activities included attending to the injured pedestrian and managing the immediate accident scene.

The photographs document the emergency response but do not establish the sequence of events leading to the collision.

Neither the driver’s condition nor the pedestrian’s subsequent medical status has been confirmed through an official statement.

The incident was initially documented Monday by Monsey Scoop, which reported that the pedestrian had sustained injuries described as minor.

Daily Voice subsequently published additional coverage Tuesday, October 27, confirming the location and identifying the responding emergency organizations. Daily Voice also indicated that it had contacted police seeking further information.

As of Wednesday, October 28, no additional police findings, traffic citations or criminal charges related to the accident could be verified through the available reporting.

Information about whether the pedestrian was transported to a hospital, received treatment at the scene or was released afterward has not been made publicly available.

The incident occurred within the Village of Spring Valley, where local police are responsible for investigating traffic collisions and responding to emergencies.

Although the initial accounts characterized the injuries as minor, that description has not been supplemented with a verified medical update.

The cause of the collision remains undetermined in the available public information.

Additional details may become available if Spring Valley Police release an accident report or provide an official update.

The incident remains a reported pedestrian-involved traffic collision, with no verified public determination of fault or contributing factors.
