New City, NY — Rockland County Executive Ed Day has revealed upcoming staffing changes in the Consumer Protection Department. Jim Elcik, the current Director of Consumer Protection, will retire, and Kimberly Von Ronn, the Principal Assistant County Attorney, will succeed him. Elcik, a former United States Marshal, has served as Director since January 2019. Von Ronn, who has been in her current position since 2021, played a crucial role in launching the County’s Office of Buildings and Codes. The Director of Consumer Protection position comes with an annual salary of $128,285.
