The trustees of The Historical Society of Rockland County are excited to announce their highly anticipated Annual Dinner. Scheduled for Sunday, May 19, at 5 PM, the event promises to be an evening of celebration and recognition, taking place at the Paramount Country Club, the former estate of Adolph Zukor, co-founder of Paramount Pictures, located at 60 Zukor Road, New City.
This glamorous affair will not only serve as a convivial gathering for history enthusiasts and community members but also as a platform to honor individuals who have made substantial contributions to preserving the county’s rich history. Esteemed awardees include Adele & Robert Schnell for Lifetime Service, recognized for their enduring commitment to the community. Jan Davies from Dr. Davies Farm will be honored for Community Service, acknowledging the farm’s integral role in sustaining local heritage.
Additionally, Judge Alfred & Doris-Renée Weiner will be celebrated with the Living Landmark Award, a tribute to their significant impact on maintaining the historical fabric of the area. The evening will also spotlight the winners of the 2024 Historic Preservation Merit Awards, recognizing exceptional efforts in the preservation and celebration of Rockland County’s historical sites.
