ROCKLAND, NY (May 8, 2024) — Catholic Charities Community Services of Rockland (CCCSR) is set to host its annual “Hearts of Gold” Gala on Thursday, June 20th, at the Town & Country venue located at 922 Route 9W, Congers, NY. This prestigious event will honor the unsung heroes among us—volunteers and staff from the 14 local parishes, recognized for their unwavering dedication and commitment to parish ministry.
Each year, these individuals are nominated by their pastors as a testament to their significant contributions to the community. “The Hearts of Gold Gala is not just an event, but a celebration of the spirit of giving that thrives in Rockland County,” said Dan Eudene, Executive Director of CCCSR. Last year’s gala drew a large crowd, underscoring the community’s support for those who dedicate themselves to serving others.
The evening will commence with a social hour at 6:00 PM, followed by dinner from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Tickets are priced at $125 each, with proceeds supporting the numerous outreach initiatives CCCSR provides. These initiatives range from food insecurity and housing issues to eviction prevention programs—crucial services that cater to individuals and families across all demographics within the county.
For those interested in further supporting the cause, opportunities for corporate sponsorship and journal advertising are available. Details can be secured by contacting LuAnn Kelley at 845.942.5791, ext. 1012, or via email at LuAnn.Kelley@ccrockland.org. More information about the event and CCCSR’s services can be found on their official website at Hearts of Gold Gala.
CCCSR has been a cornerstone in the Rockland community since its establishment in 1996, originally founded by the eighteen Catholic parishes of Rockland County. Through comprehensive case management and a wide array of social services, CCCSR addresses the essential needs of the community—food, shelter, and emergency assistance. Annually, the organization manages to distribute over 150,000 meals, provide fresh produce from its Community Garden of Love, and offer a warm place to stay for over 200 individuals through its Warming Center, among other services.
As CCCSR continues to extend its hand to those in need, the Hearts of Gold Gala stands as a beacon of hope and gratitude, illuminating the outstanding contributions of individuals who enrich the lives of many across Rockland County.
