New City, NY – Ed Day, Rockland County Executive today received the endorsement of the Operating Engineers Local 825 representing thousands of highly trained and experienced heavy equipment operators, mechanics, and surveyors.
“On behalf of the more than 8,200 hardworking men and women of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 825, we are proud to announce that your candidacy has been formally endorsed,” Greg Lalevee of Local 825 said.
“We wish you the very best this election cycle and look forward to continue dialogue on how we can continue to work together to advance our mutual goals,” Lalevee continued.

Ed Day is seeking his third term as Rockland County Executive. During his tenure, he has turned an inherited $138 million deficit into a $90 million surplus, created the Rockland Center for Codes Investigations, and led Rockland through the COVID-19 pandemic through his “Safety First, People Always” initiative.
