Orangetown, NY – This past Saturday, local veterans received an early holiday gift as 80 Thanksgiving dinner bags were distributed in a heartwarming event organized by community members and supporters.
Allison Kardon and Carmel Reilly from Supervisor Teresa Kenny’s office, Danny Gurniak from Assemblyman John McGowan’s office, and volunteers from Dance Central and the Tappan American Legion, Carl A. Schelin Post 1271, worked together to make the day a success.
This meaningful tradition was made possible by the generosity of Veterans Angels of Hope and sponsorship from Route 59 Interstate Toyota, who contributed to ensuring local veterans had a full Thanksgiving meal. Volunteers were also treated to coffee and donuts courtesy of the Tappan American Legion, providing a warm start to their efforts.
The event exemplified the spirit of gratitude and community, bringing together volunteers and organizations to honor and support those who have served our country.
