The Valley Cottage volunteer firefighter hurt battling a blaze earlier this month continues to improve from his injuries. Rockland’s Director of Fire and Emergency Services Chris Kear says 25 year-old Ryan Ebner is now is off the ventilator and up and walking around…

Kear says he’s got a long way to go, but says Ebner told him he is eager to get back to fighting fires again. A fundraiser set up to help with his medical bills has so far raised around $92,000.
