Clarkstown Town Supervisor George Hoehmann and the Town Board scheduled a public hearing for Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 7:00PM to amend the town code to eliminate short term rentals within the Town.
The Town of Clarkstown already has some of the strictest town codes in the region, including a requirement for all rental properties to be registered, inspected, and in compliance with additional restrictions.
The Town plans to amend the code to ban short term rentals. The incident is still under active criminal investigation.
If any additional town codes were violated during this incident the Town will pursue these vigorously in Justice Court.
