Airmont, NY – Two men have been indicted on felony drug charges following an investigation by the Rockland County Drug Task Force into the alleged distribution of heroin in the Village of Airmont, according to the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office.
Marvin Jeanty, 42, also known as “Cream,” of Monroe, New York, and Jordan Miranda, 23, of Paterson, New Jersey, are accused of acting individually and together in connection with an alleged heroin transaction that took place in Airmont on May 19, 2026.
According to prosecutors, Jeanty and Miranda coordinated the sale of approximately half a kilogram of heroin, or about 500 grams, equivalent to approximately 1.1 pounds, to other individuals in the village. The District Attorney’s Office alleges that the two knowingly possessed the heroin and participated in a transaction involving approximately $18,000 in cash in exchange for the drugs.
Both defendants were indicted on charges of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree under New York Penal Law § 220.43(1), a Class A-I felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree under Penal Law § 220.21(1), also a Class A-I felony.
They were additionally charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree under Penal Law § 220.39(1) and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree under Penal Law § 220.16(1). Both third-degree charges are Class B felonies.
Jeanty was arraigned on Oct. 2 before Rockland County Court Judge Kevin F. Russo. Bail was set at $100,000 cash or $1 million bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 25.
Miranda was apprehended in New Jersey and remained in custody there as of the District Attorney’s announcement. He is awaiting extradition proceedings to return him to New York to face the charges.
The investigation was conducted by the Rockland County Drug Task Force with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations. The Drug Enforcement Administration and the Paramus Police Department in New Jersey assisted with the apprehension of the defendants.
The Rockland County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force includes investigators from the District Attorney’s Office, along with members of the Town of Ramapo Police Department, Town of Haverstraw Police Department and Village of Suffern Police Department.
According to the District Attorney’s Office, the investigation was conducted under the direction of Chief of Detectives Deirdre Smith and Drug Task Force Director William Martinez.
Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II said the approximately half-kilogram quantity represented a significant amount of heroin and credited the participating agencies for their work on the investigation.
Walsh also recognized Smith and Martinez for their leadership of the Drug Task Force and said cooperation among investigators, prosecutors and local and federal law enforcement agencies is an important part of efforts to address narcotics distribution in Rockland County.
The case is being prosecuted by Executive Assistant District Attorney Michael Peterson and Assistant District Attorney Tina Thermadam.
An indictment is an accusation and does not constitute proof of guilt. Jeanty and Miranda are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
