
CLARKSTOWN, NY – The Clarkstown Police Department is pleased to announce the addition of four new officers, strengthening its commitment to the safety and well-being of the community. In a welcoming ceremony attended by Chief Jeffrey Wanamaker, Supervisor George Hoehmann, and members of the Clarkstown Town Board, the department introduced its newest recruits, who bring a wealth of experience and dedication to their roles.
Among the new officers is Officer N. Russo, who joins the Clarkstown Police Department from the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department. Russo, bilingual in Italian, brings a diverse background and valuable law enforcement experience. His unique skills will be a tremendous asset to the community as he works to enhance public safety in Clarkstown.
Officer N. Palumbo also joins the department, arriving from the City of White Plains Police Department. With a deep commitment to public safety and community engagement, Officer Palumbo is eager to contribute to the department’s ongoing efforts to keep Clarkstown safe.
Additionally, Officer M. Finamore brings 12 years of experience from the NYPD, where he served as a K9 handler. Finamore’s specialized training and dedication to public safety will complement the department’s efforts in ensuring a well-rounded approach to law enforcement in Clarkstown.
Finally, Officer P. Smith, who served seven years with the NYPD and attained the rank of Sergeant, will bring his leadership and extensive law enforcement experience to Clarkstown. Smith’s proven track record in managing teams and navigating complex situations will be crucial as the department continues to prioritize the safety of its residents.
