CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. โ Summer officially arrives in Clarkstown this weekend as the town launches its annual Serendipity Saturday celebration, marking the start of the 2026 pool season with a day of family-friendly activities and free admission for residents.
The event will take place Saturday, June 13, at Germonds Pool, where gates open at noon. Residents can enjoy a variety of attractions throughout the afternoon, including live music, a magician, balloon animals, arts and crafts, miniature golf and lifeguard demonstrations. Food and refreshments will also be available for purchase.
Live music is scheduled to begin at 1:15 p.m.
Town officials announced that, for the first time, both Germonds Pool and Congers Pool will be open free of charge to Clarkstown residents during opening weekend on June 13 and 14.
The expanded access is part of the town’s effort to celebrate the beginning of the summer recreation season and encourage residents to take advantage of local aquatic facilities.
Germonds Pool will begin operating seven days a week starting June 13. Congers Pool will transition to a seven-day schedule on June 20, while Lake Nanuet Pool is slated to open for the season on June 27.
