Nanuet, NY – Supervisor George Hoehmann joined students at George W. Miller Elementary School for Community Celebrity Reader Day, an annual event in the Nanuet School District aimed at promoting literacy and a love of reading among young learners.
During his visit, Hoehmann read “The Most Boring Book Ever” by Brandon Sanderson to several kindergarten classes. Despite the book’s playful title, the students proved to be an attentive and engaged audience, eagerly following along with the story’s humor.
“Events like this are a wonderful opportunity to connect with students and encourage a lifelong appreciation for reading,” said Hoehmann.
Community Reader Day brings local leaders and volunteers into classrooms to share stories and inspire young minds, fostering a strong connection between the schools and the broader community.
