A group of fourth-grade Girl Scouts from Woodglen Elementary School had an exciting and educational visit to Clarkstown Town Hall this week, as part of their community involvement with Girl Scouts Heart of Hudson. The scouts were warmly welcomed by Town of Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann, who took the time to meet with the young visitors and provide them with an insightful look into local government.
The scouts were eager to learn about the workings of the town, asking thoughtful and engaging questions that demonstrated their curiosity and enthusiasm. After their meeting with Hoehmann, the group enjoyed a guided tour of Town Hall, where they had the opportunity to see the inner workings of local government firsthand.
This visit was part of the Girl Scouts’ commitment to community engagement and education, and it served as a valuable experience for the young scouts, who are working toward their badges and developing leadership skills. The troop’s leaders also played an important role in making the visit a success, ensuring the girls had an enjoyable and informative time.
