Valley Cottage, NY — Twin Ponds, a beloved park in Valley Cottage, received a thoughtful upgrade thanks to the dedication of Eagle Scout Evan Roth. For his Eagle Scout project, Evan installed two benches, garbage cans, and informative signage about local wildlife and fish, creating a more inviting and educational environment for visitors.
Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann and Councilman Frank Graziano visited the site to personally thank Evan for his efforts. “Evan’s project enhances the natural beauty of Twin Ponds while promoting stewardship of our local environment,” said Supervisor Hoehmann.
The addition of seating and educational materials has been well-received by parkgoers, who now have new opportunities to relax and learn about the rich biodiversity of the pond.
Twin Ponds continues to be a cherished community resource, and Evan’s contribution ensures that future generations can enjoy it while fostering a deeper appreciation for nature.
