New City, NY – Ed Day, Rockland County Executive today announced the endorsement of the New York State Fraternal Order of Police. The NYS FOP is the oldest and largest National Association of law enforcement professionals with over 20,000 members statewide.
New York State Fraternal Order of Police President Michael Essig has issued the following endorsement, “We have based our endorsement upon your demonstrated and continued support of police professionals. Further, as police professionals who most experienced and witnessed the trauma and effects of criminal behavior wrecked upon our fellow citizens, we understand, all too well, the significance of dedicated public servants as you who possess the courage and compassion to promote the confidence in our government and courts.”
“I am humbled to receive the support of the New York State Fraternal Order of Police. With their backing and the backing of all those is Rockland who value living and working in a safe and secure community, I am confident I will earn another term on Election Day. Let’s continue the good work we have been doing to keep our county and residents safe,” Ed Day said.
Ed Day is seeking his third term as Rockland County Executive. During his tenure he has turned an inherited $138 million deficit into a $90 million surplus, created the Rockland Center for Codes Investigations, and led Rockland through the COVID-19 pandemic through his “Safety First, People Always” initiative.
