We mourn the ten people murdered in a racially motivated mass shooting in Buffalo, New York on May 14, 2022 and the nineteen children and two teachers murdered in an elementary school shooting in Uvalde, Texas on May 24, 2022. Words are inadequate to express the horror, hatred and sheer evil of these senseless attacks that destroyed so many innocent lives and devastated families and communities. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families and the people of Uvalde and Buffalo. Ramapo Police have enhanced their presence in and around local schools to ensure our students’ safety.
