Nyack, NY –The community is invited to a special event at St. Anthony Parish in West Nyack: the Animal Blessing, commemorating the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi. St. Francis of Assisi, the Patron Saint of Animals in the Catholic Church, is celebrated during this event. However, it is open to all who wish to obtain a blessing for their pets, regardless of their religious affiliation or lack thereof. This meaningful occasion will take place on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, starting at 6:00 P.M.
The Blessing of the Animals ceremony will be held outdoors on the lawn, just outside the St. Anthony’s PREP Office.
Residents, pet owners, and animal enthusiasts alike are encouraged to bring their furry, feathered, or scaly companions to receive a special blessing. This event offers an opportunity for the community to come together, share their love for animals, and seek blessings for their beloved pets.
