| Dear Residents – This past weekend I had the pleasure of marching in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Pearl River. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the smiles and waves from people of all ages. Special thanks to the Orangetown Police Department (and other local law enforcement who aided OPD) for keeping everyone safe, to the Orangetown Highway Department for doing an incredible job on the clean-up, and to the Rockland County AOH/LAOH for hosting such a successful event. With the arrival of Spring, lots of things are popping up all over the calendar. There is the Springfest Street Fair in Nyack, Egg My Yards, and lifeguard training. And, of course, the annual Orangetown Great American Clean-Up is on Saturday, April 2, 2022. This event is rain or shine and supply pickup will be at Town Hall. To register, click here or if you need more information, please contact Allison Kardon in my office. Please join me and help keep Orangetown beautiful! By this time next week, the Village of South Nyack will officially be dissolved and Orangetown will become the governing body for the residents of our newest hamlet, the Hamlet of South Nyack. Although the road was sometimes rocky, I can attest to the fact the Village Board worked right up to the end to do what they thought was best for their residents. Speaking for the Town Board, we will continue those efforts with the best interest of the residents of South Nyack in mind. Have a great weekend everyone! Respectfully, |
