This one seems less severe than the previous, which transpired on and off for an entire weekend in August.
STONY POINT, NY – Numerous people on local Facebook community groups reported outages in their homes’ internet service this evening, primarily with users of Optimum cable and internet service. The service interruption seems to have started at around 8 pm EST.
This is the second outage reported in the past several weeks. In August, a storm and subsequent traffic accident severely damaged a transformer – which interrupted service for nearly 2 days.
There have not yet any specific reports of injury to local customers’ emotional states, while this outage has occurred.
