Orangetown, NY – Supervisor Kenny joined 26 others in donating blood to the American Red Cross this week at Orangetown Town Hall. This effort is part of a friendly competition initiated by State Senator Bill Weber, challenging the five towns in Rockland County to see who can collect the most blood and attract the highest number of first-time donors.
Currently, Orangetown leads the pack, ahead of Ramapo and Stony Point in both categories. However, with Clarkstown’s blood drive today and Haverstraw’s tomorrow, the final results are still pending. Regardless of the outcome, it was heartwarming to see the towns unite for such a noble cause.
