Orangetown – The much-anticipated Orangetown Summer Day Camp, a staple of local summer activities for children, has announced its schedule and registration details for the 2024 season. Hosted at the scenic German Masonic Camp Grounds, the camp offers a robust summer experience for children entering 1st through 8th grade.
Registration for the camp kicks off on Wednesday, April 17th, at 5:00 pm, marking the start of the enrollment period for parents eager to secure a spot for their children in one of the six one-week sessions. Additionally, field trip registration will open on Wednesday, May 1st, at 10:00 am, promising exciting outings that enhance the camp experience.
The camp season runs from July 1st to August 9th, 2024. It’s noteworthy that the first session will be shorter, from July 1st to July 3rd, due to the camp’s observance of Independence Day on July 4th and 5th, with a corresponding adjustment in the registration fee for this session.
A highlight for both full-day and half-day campers is the weekly visit to the South Orangetown Middle School’s indoor pool, ensuring that swimming is a part of the summer fun. Specific days allocated for each camp group’s pool visits will be detailed in the weekly newsletters, ensuring parents are well-informed.
The Orangetown Day Camp has been a cherished part of the community’s summer offerings, providing a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children to explore, learn, and make new friends. With a range of activities planned, the camp promises to deliver another memorable summer.
Parents are encouraged to mark their calendars for the registration dates and prepare for an exciting summer ahead at the Orangetown Summer Day Camp.
