[VIDEO] Flash Storm Slams Clarkstown for 10 Minutes, Ends with Rainbow

NEW CITY, NY – Residents of New City experienced a swift and surprising flash storm today that swept through the area around 5:15 PM and lasted for a mere 10 minutes. Some footage was obtained from Marie-Laurence Heyne Moriarity, from Coffee Chick Mobile Cafe, on her way to an appointment:

Despite its brief duration, the storm left behind a breathtaking sight—a vivid rainbow that arched across the sky, visible to much of the community.

The sudden weather change brought unexpected rain and gusty winds, but it quickly gave way to clear skies as the sun peeked through the clouds, creating ideal conditions for the rainbow’s emergence. Local photographers and residents took to social media to share images of the stunning natural phenomenon, capturing a moment of beauty following the storm’s swift passage.

The rainbow served as a brief, yet welcome, spectacle after the storm, reminding the community of the fleeting nature of such weather events, and the serene beauty that often follows.
