
STONY POINT, NY — Rockland Green will host a free secure paper shredding event in Stony Point on Saturday, May 30, from 8 a.m. to noon at Patriot Hills Lane.
The event is open to Rockland County residents only. Businesses and non-profit organizations are not eligible to participate. Residents may bring up to three banker boxes per car, with boxes approximately 24 inches by 15 inches by 11 inches.
The shredding service will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis until the trucks are full. Participants are asked to remain in their vehicles at all times.
Rockland Green reminds residents that pre-shredded paper will not be accepted, and no plastic bags, binders, or other plastics should be included. Paperclips and staples are acceptable.
Residents attending the event are also encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to a local food pantry.
