New City, N.Y. — Rockland County officials announced the launch of the “Rock-Solid Campaign” on Thursday, introducing a new countywide marketing and economic development initiative aimed at promoting Rockland as a destination for business investment, tourism, and community growth.
The campaign was unveiled by Ed Day and Jenna Nazario during an announcement in New City.
County officials said the campaign is intended to strengthen Rockland’s economic profile across the tri-state region by highlighting local businesses, downtown districts, tourism assets, and redevelopment opportunities. The initiative will also focus on showcasing entrepreneurs and business owners throughout the county.
According to the county, the campaign is part of a broader effort to expand economic activity and generate additional revenue sources outside of residential property taxes. Officials said increasing tourism and business investment can help offset the cost of county services while supporting local downtown economies.
County Executive Day said the initiative builds upon previous tourism efforts that county officials estimate saved the average Rockland household approximately $675 annually in property taxes through tourism-related revenue generation.
The Rock-Solid Campaign will use a multi-platform marketing strategy that includes digital advertising, promotional campaigns, business spotlights, partnerships with regional organizations, and community-based events. County officials said the campaign will target residents, visitors, investors, and businesses throughout the metropolitan region.
Nazario described the initiative as both a marketing effort and a community branding campaign focused on the county’s local identity and economic strengths.
A key feature of the initiative is the launch of “Rockland Rally Kits,” a business partnership program intended to increase participation among local businesses and downtown organizations.
Officials said the kits will include branded promotional materials, social media graphics, marketing assets, window decals, and other campaign-related tools designed to help businesses participate directly in countywide promotions.
Businesses participating in the program may also be featured in digital storytelling campaigns, regional advertising initiatives, community spotlights, and other county promotional efforts developed in partnership with the Rockland County Industrial Development Agency and the Rockland Business Association.
County officials said the campaign reflects ongoing efforts to position Rockland County competitively within the Hudson Valley and greater New York metropolitan area. In addition to tourism and hospitality promotion, the initiative also emphasizes Rockland’s location, transportation access, evolving development landscape, and established small business network.
Rockland County has increasingly focused on economic development campaigns in recent years as local governments throughout the region compete for tourism dollars, business investment, and commercial redevelopment opportunities.
Officials did not announce a total cost for the initiative during Thursday’s announcement but said the campaign will continue rolling out through future promotional efforts and partnerships across the county.
The county said additional information about participating in the Rock-Solid Campaign and the Rockland Rally Kits program is expected to become available through Rockland County Economic Development & Tourism outreach channels in the coming months.
