New City, NY – Rockland County Sheriff Louis Falco III announces the arrest of 6 individuals for falsifying business records, official misconduct, and petit larceny. The arrests stemmed from a six-week investigation conducted by Sheriff’s Office, after receiving a complaint regarding misconduct by employees of the Rockland County Division of Environmental Resources.
The 6 individuals were processed on the above charges and released on appearance tickets returnable in the Town of Haverstraw Justice Court on December 19, 2022.
In response to the charges, County Executive Ed Day provides the following statement:
“Upon developing information of potential improprieties within the Parks section of the Division of Environmental Resources, my administration requested the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office to investigate of which this was the unfortunate conclusion.
We acknowledge and appreciate the expeditious efforts by the Sheriff’s Office in this investigation and the vigorous effort now underway by the Rockland County District Attorney in this case.
This administration has zero-tolerance for this type of behavior, and as such turned it over to law enforcement immediately for appropriate action.”
