Blauvelt, NY – As nesting mother turtles cross Western Highway in Blauvelt to lay their eggs, it’s important to slow down and exercise caution while driving. These turtles are heading to the reservoir before returning to their nesting sites. The key area for this migration is between Theis Road and O’Sullivan’s Tree Service.
Residents and drivers are encouraged to keep an eye out for these slow-moving creatures and reduce their speed to ensure their safety during the busy months of May and June.
