The Village of West Haverstraw is set to undergo significant road improvements starting Tuesday, April 29th through Wednesday, May 7th. Milling and paving work will take place on Chapel, Cross, Hunt, and Wall Streets to enhance road conditions and ensure smoother driving surfaces for residents and visitors alike.
To facilitate the work, all vehicles must be removed from these streets by 7:00 AM on weekdays, with the roads closed to traffic until 4:00 PM. The improvements aim to address long-term infrastructure needs and improve the overall safety and condition of the roads.
Village officials are asking for residents’ cooperation and patience during this process. “We understand that the road closures may cause some temporary inconvenience, but these improvements are necessary to maintain our village’s infrastructure and improve safety for everyone,” said village officials. “We greatly appreciate your understanding as we work to make West Haverstraw an even better place to live.”
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and seek alternate routes to avoid the affected streets. The Village of West Haverstraw thanks the community for their support during the construction and promises to complete the project as efficiently as possible.
