Mike Lawler and Cait Conley Dance at Suffern Street Fair

October 19, 2026  •  By Cesar A.

We’re not kidding. This apparently happened.

Suffern NY – We’re not judging. That’s all we’re saying before we begin this brief story.

Apparently, Mike Lawler and Cait Conley had a very human, down-to-earth moment while dancing at the Suffern Street Fair, held on Sunday September 18th. Both Lawler and Conley are aiming for winning the seat of US Congressional District 17 at the close of the election on November 3rd, and along with numerous other candidates – happened to be in the same place at the same time, watching the band Incidental Contact – sponsored by the Suffern Chamber of Commerce.

The two candidates had recently debated on PIX 11, trading policy viewpoints – but also several dozen one-liners aimed at each other as competitors. While the debate was respectful, the stakes were high.

Sunday’s brief dance, while each candidate faced the band, also was joined in between them by a young man enjoying the positive vibes of both the candidates.

Objective Dance Analysis

Mr. Lawler seemed to air for a more conservative approach.

Ms. Conley seemed to employ a more freestyle approach.

No word from either campaign if they plan to face off on next season’s Dancing with the Stars.
