The 15th annual blood drive in honor of local resident, Jimmy McNicholas, who was killed in a hit-and-run in Pearl River in May 2009, his killer still not found, gets underway Monday. Stony Point Police Sergeant John Wood says each donation provides lots of life-saving blood products…
COVID has hurt community blood drives, resulting in a major shortage, so your help is desperately needed. Monday’s drive is being held from 3:30 – 8 PM at the Kirkbride Hall Community Room located at 5 Patriot Hills Lane in Stony Point. For information or to make an appointment to donate, call Sergeant Wood at 845-786-2422 or send an email to jwood@stonypointpd.org or click here. Over 1,000 pints of blood have been collected in Jimmy’s honor since the drive began 15 years ago.
