Job Title: Shop Manager – Fabrication Shop
Location: West Nyack, New York

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shop Manager to oversee our fabrication shop operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabricating railings, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role will require both shop management and field measurement responsibilities to ensure the accuracy and quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the fabrication shop.
• Fabricate railings and other metalwork as needed.
• Generate accurate cut lists and project specifications for fabrication workers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure projects are built to correct dimensions.
• Coordinate with project managers to update project timelines and requirements.
• Perform field measurements and site visits to confirm project details.
• Maintain a high standard of quality control and ensure all projects meet company standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Manage inventory and order materials as needed.
• Qualifications:
• Proven experience in fabricating railings and other metalwork.
• Strong knowledge of reading blueprints and technical drawings
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a fabrication shop.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to problem-solve and make decisions independently.
• Clean driver’s license and willingness to travel for field measurements (company vehicle provided).
• Proficiency in using fabrication tools and equipment.
• OSHA30/SST required
